Homemade Cooking Spray

in A Different Home

Why pay someone else to do what you can easily do yourself? Especially when it will save you money. Cooking spray is one of those things that you don’t have to pay for in order to have in your cupboard. It’s as easy as 1-2-3. Just grab an empty spray bottle:

And pour in 5 parts water to 1 part oil.

I suggest Grapeseed or another oil that has a higher smoke point.

It’s as simple as that. No more aerosol, and no more paying for something you can quickly and cheaply make at home:)

When I first made this I used an extra pump sprayer I had around the house, but while that works, the mist is rather heavy for my tastes. But for a little more luxury you can pick up one of these Misto spray bottles. They are non-aerosol and spray your homemade Pam more like the real thing.
